Day’s Parts Yard LLC Policies

Deposits

All deposits on vehicles and parts are non-refundable under any circumstance.

Returns and Refunds

  1. Approval Required: All returns must be approved by Day’s Parts Yard before being processed.
  2. Return Shipping Costs:
    • Shipping costs are not refunded, as they were not charged during the initial purchase.
    • The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs, regardless of warranty status.

  3. Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply to returned products, even if the product never left our facility.
  4. Inspection Process:
    • Returned items must arrive via ground shipping within 14 days.
    • All returns will be inspected to ensure the product has not been cut, altered, damaged, or modified.
    • Refunds will be issued within 48 hours of inspection.

  5. Non-Refundable Items:
    • No returns on engines, transmissions, or drivetrain components.
    • No returns for items shipped via freight or forwarded internationally.

  6. Defective Parts: Defective items will be replaced if a replacement is in stock.

Warranty

  1. Standard Warranty:
    • All parts include a 30-day warranty unless otherwise noted.
    • Items sold “AS IS” do not carry any warranty.

  2. Certified Installation Required:
    • All parts must be installed by an ASE-certified mechanic.
    • Failure to provide proof of certified installation voids the warranty.

  3. Warranty Exclusions:
    • Labor, reprogramming, and refinishing are not covered.
    • Wearable items such as seats, brake pads, wiper arms, gaskets, seals, clutches, ball joints, and tie rods are excluded.
    • Damage caused by improper or insufficient fluid levels is not covered.
  4. Body Panels and Paint:
    • Paint condition is not guaranteed.
    • Refinishing is recommended before installation.

Shipping Policies

Ground Shipping

  • Carriers: We use USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Inspection: Inspect the package at delivery. Signing for a damaged package without noting the issue voids refund eligibility.
  • PO Boxes: We do not ship to PO boxes. A physical address is required.
  • Shipping Area: Free ground shipping is offered to the lower 48 states.
  • Surcharge States: Additional freight/shipping charges apply to the following 22 states:
    AK, AZ, CA, CT, DE, HI, ID, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MT, NH, NJ, NY, ND, OR, PA, VT, WA, WI
  • Processing Time: Ground items typically ship the next business day unless otherwise stated.

Freight Shipping

  • Delivery: Freight ships dock-to-dock or to commercial addresses only.
  • Liftgate or Residential Delivery: Additional charges apply.
  • Inspection: Note any damage on the Bill of Lading upon delivery to preserve eligibility for returns.
  • Processing Time: Freight items ship within five business days.
  • Fluid Levels: Freight items (engines, transmissions, differentials) ship dry. It is the buyer’s responsibility to refill fluids to proper levels. Damage caused by insufficient fluids is not covered.
